Hot competition for best stands at BETA International

Jan 19 2009

BETA International 2009 has enlisted the help of merchandising experts from the Shop & Display Equipment Association (Sdea) to judge the Best Stand Awards.

The awards, which go to the winner and runner-up in each of the 32 square metres and over and under 32 square metres categories, are sponsored for the seventh consecutive year by The Wine & Hamper Company.

Judges Nick Wraith and Caroline Reeves will be assessing all exhibitors’ stands for visual appeal and originality, good use of space, clear intent of purpose, accessibility and clear representation of products and services.

The BETA International 2009 Best Stand Awards will be presented on the afternoon of Monday 16th February, with winners receiving trophies plus sumptuous hampers from The Wine & Hamper Company.

Nick Wraith is the managing director of United Aluminium, supplier of the modular aluminium display system Unibox. With 19 years’ experience in merchandising, he is a member of the Sdea executive council.

Co-judge Caroline Reeves, marketing manager of United Aluminium, has been involved with retail and exhibition display for 16 years and has a lifelong equestrian interest.

The Sdea represents around 200 member companies from the British shopfittings and display industry.

"Without exception, BETA International exhibitors always go to great lengths to create exciting, eye-catching stands. So whoever wins Best Stand Awards will truly deserve their prizes courtesy of The Wine & Hamper Company," said Claire Thomas, commercial manager of BETA International organiser EMC.

The Wine & Hamper Company specialises in corporate gift packs and incentive ideas. From selections of wine and chocolates to seasonal themed hampers, many can be personalised or delivered direct to recipients.

All BETA International exhibitors are automatically entered into the Best Stand Awards.

BETA International 2009 takes place on 15-17 February at the NEC, Birmingham, UK. Organiser Equestrian Management Consultants (EMC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BETA Group.
