BETA brings hi-tech benefits to its members and their customers

The British Equestrian Association (BETA) is celebrating being first past the post in the race to deliver cutting-edge technology to the equestrian industry.

Its specially developed iPhone application is designed to help customers locate their nearest BETA retailer anywhere in the UK. The ‘app’ is available as a free download and provides users with the ability to locate retailers closest to their position, as well as to a specific postcode.

It is perfect for use both at home or away at shows – when urgent replacements are needed, for example.

The ‘app’ provides names, contact details and phone links, as well as websites and Google maps to the retailers’ stores. The listings also enable users to locate BETA members who have been trained by the trade association to fit safety equipment such as hats and body protectors, those who provide a full lorinery service with trained staff offering bitting advice and bits, and those with suitably qualified people (SQPs) for the sale of wormers and flea treatments.

Currently available as an iPhone application only, other formats might be introduced in the future, should demand warrant it.

“We believe that the application is a tremendous way of further promoting our BETA retail members, a great help to the consumer and an excellent addition to BETA’s portfolio of member benefits,” said BETA executive director Claire Williams.
