2009 championship finals dates announced

With no annual subscriptions or horse and pony registration fees to pay, competitors can look forward to a cost-effective season with Trailblazers.

First Rounds in show jumping, dressage and showing – competitions that are also qualifiers for Second Rounds leading to the 2009 Spillers Trailblazers Championships - are currently underway at more than 50 approved show centres across the UK.

This national series, sponsored by South Essex Insurance Brokers (SEIB), offers professionally-run, well-structured competitions in all three disciplines. There are show jumping height classes for horses and ponies; preliminary, novice and elementary level dressage competitions for junior and senior riders, plus a wide range of in-hand and ridden show classes.

Although Trailblazers does not charge registration fees or subscriptions, competitors can enjoy the benefits of membership by filling in a registration form when they compete at any approved centre. The only sum competitors are asked to pay above each centre’s standard class entry fee is £12 when they qualify for and choose to progress to Trailblazers Second Rounds.

“Trailblazers’ remit is to offer excellent competitions at local centres with good standards of facilities - all at exceptional value for money,” said Trailblazers chairman Norman Bargh. “We’re looking forward to an exciting 2009 season.”
